A Fond Farewell to Mosney Mill: Cherishing the Memories and Final Pieces
Mosney Mill has been a beautiful journey—an ode to nature, creativity, and the charm of British craftsmanship. While the business has now closed its doors, the legacy of its hand-illustrated fabrics, wallpapers, kitchenware, homeware, and gifts remains a cherished part of its story.
Nestled on the banks of the River Darwen near Preston, Lancashire, Mosney Mill drew inspiration from the landscape and wildlife surrounding it. The site itself holds history, once home to Mosney Print Works, operating briefly between 1780 and 1788. Centuries later, in October 2016, Emma breathed new life into the name by launching Mosney Mill with the unwavering love and support of her family.
From her studio, overlooking the rolling countryside, Emma sketched the whimsical animals that would become the heart of Mosney Mill’s collections. These illustrations captured the spirit of nature—the deer, birds, butterflies, and even a mischievous bunny—that roamed the land. Each creation told a story, transforming the sights of Lancashire into timeless designs.
Now, as the final pieces of Mosney Mill’s beloved collections become end-of-line products, they serve as a chance to own a little piece of this treasured brand. Though the business may have closed, its magic endures in every fabric, every print, and every cherished memory.
For those who have loved and supported Mosney Mill, we thank you for being a part of this journey. May these final pieces continue to bring warmth, nostalgia, and beauty into your homes. Final pieces available here

At Feather and Twigs, we’ve always believed in celebrating the makers and growers behind the scenes—the hands that nurture, the minds that dream, and the hearts that care. One of those quiet cornerstones is Lyndene, a traditional market garden nestled in Tarleton, Lancashire. Their ethos? Keep it seasonal. Keep it local. Keep it grounded. And we love them for it. Lyndene supplies us with fresh flowers on an ad-hoc basis, depending on the season’s rhythm and the glasshouse glow
