Feather and Twigs at the Harrogate Home & Gift Fair: A Whirlwind of Inspiration

We’ve just returned from the Harrogate Home & Gift Fair—and we’re buzzing with ideas, gratitude, and excitement for the months ahead! Nestled in the heart of Yorkshire, this vibrant event is where creativity meets craftsmanship, bringing together the UK’s finest designers, makers, and retailers under one beautifully curated roof (well several actually).

👋 Rekindling Connections with Our Trusted Suppliers

One of the highlights was spending time with some of the remarkable suppliers who bring magic to our shop:

  • Lola Designs – Stationery has never felt so personal. Their bold, beautiful prints and thoughtful details reminded us why we adore celebrating life’s little moments... cards, wrapping paper, soaps and much more
  • Blue Bear Co – These beautiful bears will last a lifetime, with a pouch for a scent and heart which can record a personal message are a real emotional pull in our Croston shop.
  • Sophos – Sophisticated style with playful twists. Their blend of classic elegance and contemporary designed weekend bags for leisure or waterproof bags and toiletry bags are just perfect for the outdoor activities.
  • Lucy Kemp Jewellery – Meeting Lucy and seeing her stunning handcrafted pieces up close was a treat. Delicate silver earrings, bracelets and necklaces all wearable art at its finest.
  • My Gifts Trade – Their evolving collections always catch our eye with thoughtful gifting in mind, brands like Pip Studio, Casa Fina and Que Rico
  • St. Eval – Their soothing scents and artisan candles always stir the soul. We left their stand feeling recharged and inspired by their timeless, sustainable ethos and beautiful new scents arriving in the shop shortly.

✨ Inspiration Around Every Corner

Beyond reconnecting with familiar faces, we wandered through aisles rich with imagination—textiles infused with storytelling, ceramics whispering tales of heritage, and homeware that made us pause, smile, and dream. We're not just leaving with catalogues and samples, but with fresh vision for Feather & Twigs—curated ideas that blend beauty, sustainability, and heartfelt artisan design.

💬 What’s Next?

You’ll begin to see reflections of our Harrogate trip trickling into the shop—new finds, refreshed displays, and perhaps a few surprises that we think you’ll love. Whether it’s a bold new statement piece or a comforting candle, everything we choose is steeped in meaning and wrapped in thoughtfulness.

As ever, thank you for being part of our journey. We’re proud to bring you items that not only beautify your space but connect you to the stories, hands, and hearts behind them.

Enough With the Beige: Colour Is Not Just for the Young

June 09, 2026

Somewhere along the way, women were sold a quiet lie: tone it down as you get older. Choose beige. Stick to black. Don’t draw attention. Blend in gracefully.

No thank you.

At Feather and Twigs, we believe ageing is not a cue to fade into the background—it’s permission to turn the volume up. Style is not something you age out of. Confidence doesn’t retire at 50. And colour? Colour is not childish, desperate or inappropriate. Colour is...

Father's Day Gifts - For the Dad who never asks for anything
Father's Day Gifts - For the Dad who never asks for anything

May 20, 2026

There’s always one, isn’t there?

The dad who insists he doesn’t need a thing.
Who shrugs when you ask what he’d like.
Who quietly fixes, carries, makes, and mends… and asks for nothing in return.

And yet — those are often the dads we want to get right the most.

This Father’s Day, instead of searching for more, we’re choosing meaning. Slower, quieter, more thoughtful gifts that feel like him. The kind that don’t shout, but stay.
