When Vinny and I were discussing the current hike in fuel prices recently we had a lightbulb moment when we realised we had the perfect solution for local deliveries, a traditional bakers bike. Way back in the 70's Vinny's dad was a Master Baker and deliveries often took place by bike.
It just so happens that Vinny had acquired a similar bike a few years ago as a bit of a homage to his dad who died in the 1990's, we decided to dust it down and get a logo added and use for local deliveries. No sooner had we positioned it outside the shop but we had a request for a local delivery of one of our infamous hanging baskets. The hanging basket was required quite urgently, as a gift for his visiting daughter. Unfortunately, Vinny was in the middle of painting when the order came in and he had to quickly jump on the bike and ride round to Mr Brimble's. He was delighted to receive the order so quickly.
It has since been a great talking point in the shop and customers love us riding up to deliver their purchases.

Here's a little introduction to the wonderful makers behind our greeting card collection.

There’s always one, isn’t there?
The dad who insists he doesn’t need a thing.
Who shrugs when you ask what he’d like.
Who quietly fixes, carries, makes, and mends… and asks for nothing in return.
And yet — those are often the dads we want to get right the most.
This Father’s Day, instead of searching for more, we’re choosing meaning. Slower, quieter, more thoughtful gifts that feel like him. The kind that don’t shout, but stay.
