ROB EDMUNDSON

My work is landscape based. Primarily I paint landscapes of the north of the UK, although I produce artwork resulting from my travels around the world.
My paintings are representational. Through visual devices, I hope to capture the soul, in essence, the mood of each special, secret place.
I have taught art at school and College level. Currently, I teach art to adults privately.
I have created artwork using silk screen, ceramics, and acrylic. However, acrylic has been my medium of choice for many years now.
I have exhibited work in galleries around the country, from Brighton to Arnside had articles in magazines in Europe as well as ‘Lancashire Life’ magazine, had solo exhibitions in Liverpool and appeared on BBC in the art programme,’Home is where the Art is’. This quote from Roald Dahl, could summarise my approach to art, “And
above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
