About the Artist — Rob Edmundson

With over 40 years of teaching art and ceramics, Rob brings a lifetime of skill, observation and passion to his work. Now retired, he has embraced the opportunity to create the art he has “always wanted to do,” inspired by travel, landscape and the diverse techniques he has explored throughout his career.

Rob’s admiration for artists like David Hockney shines through in his own style—works that are not photographic, but rather “based on” the landscapes he sees, capturing their essence through thoughtful composition and expressive mark‑making. Working mainly in acrylics, sometimes oils, he uses brushes, cards, sponges and palette knives to shape each piece with precision and intention.

His belief is simple:
Art is for showing, sharing and enjoying—whether it’s the idea, the technique or the emotion that draws you in.
