🎨 Celebrating Local Talent: Feather & Twigs Community Art Fair at Croston Old School

Mark your calendars for a weekend of creativity, inspiration, and community spirit! On Friday 27th and Saturday 28th September, Feather & Twigs is proud to host a Community Art Fair at the beloved Croston Old School, bringing together a vibrant mix of local artists and their stunning work.

🖼️ A Showcase of Local Creativity
From evocative wildlife portraits to charming scenes of Lancashire life, this is a chance to discover the incredible talent nestled right here in our community. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a curious browser, or simply looking for something beautiful to hang on your wall, you'll find originals and limited edition prints available to purchase—each piece telling its own story through the eyes of its creator.

Featured artists include: 

  • Ian Grime – capturing nature with his expressive touch using pen and ink
  • Caroline Mooney – known for her delicate, atmospheric mixed media landscapes and wildlife
  • Zak Last – bringing his own style in oils of village life
  • Rob Edmundson – whose countryside scene work pulses with texture and emotion
  • Jackie Williams – celebrating colour and movement in every brushstroke
  • Carol Clenon – blending realism with technical skills in her scenic studies
  • David Jenkins – offering a fresh perspective on familiar scenes and wildlife
  • Sarah Richards – whose intricate pencil drawings of wildlife invite closer inspection
  • Tina Cooper - beautiful watercolours of our countryside. 

Each artist brings a unique style and medium, making this fair a rich tapestry of visual storytelling.

Tea, Cake & Conversation
No community gathering is complete without a good brew and a slice of something sweet! The Community Café will be open throughout the event, serving up tea, coffee, and delicious homemade cakes—perfect for a mid-browse break or a catch-up with friends.

Whether you're nurturing a budding young artist or simply looking for a lovely day out, the Art Fair promises something for everyone. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support local creatives, spark inspiration, and celebrate the artistic heartbeat of Croston.
